Introducing.........KARCYN LEE MANGUM!

Baby Karcyn was born Feb. 5th 2010!! (im finally getting caught up)

This is a special day because she shares her birthday with her Papa Evans

and her late uncle Jeffery who Im sure gave her a big hug before she left her Heavenly home.

I got a call on Friday morning from my mom telling me that Jess had gone into the hospital! Yay the casteroil worked!! I got there about 3:30am and Jess was just getting her epidural. She was doing great, but seemed a lot happier once the epidural was working!! Mike's mom and I left the room while they broke her water.....and she was at a 9+!! I couldn't believe it when Jess and Mike said that MaryJane and I could stay in for the birth!! I was so excited, but didn't expect it at all. I just wanted to be there when the baby was born and to let Jess and Mike know I was there for support, but I was planning on doing this all from the hall.....so I was so excited!

She looks so big in the picture above, but she was so little to me! I can't believe how fast you forget about how small they are. She weighed 7'11.....she was PERFECT!

I went home after the birth and was able to get my kids off to school......after I got all cleaned up and things done at home, I rushed back to the hospital to check on Jess and the baby!!

Mom was there making sure someone was holding the baby...haha

She is so sweet!

I love this one......This was my first time to see someone else deliver a child other than myself, and I want to thank Jess and Mike for letting me share this special day with them! This was the most amazing thing and I just can't believe what a spiritual experience this was. I was crying when she was born.....it just makes you think about where this sweet baby just came from. Our Heavenly Father is now trusting Mike and Jess with his sweet child and I know that they will make him proud!

I love you baby Karcyn and we are so excited for you to be in our family!!!

I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE.......

I really have been behind on my posts and haven't wanted to get anything out of order, but Oh well because I am tonight!! I just wanted to post these pictures of the temple. Tonight at our New Beginnings, we talked about how this year our goal is going to be to "TOUCH GOLD...REACH FOR THE TEMPLE!" and I thought that all of the girls who were asked to speak did such a great job and I just got thinking......

I am so grateful for the temple and so thankful that I have a husband who can take me there! It is such a great place to go when you are feeling down and just need to get away from the outside world. I love the feeling of peace when I am there. This picture below is one that I took on the day that sweet baby Karcyn was born. I remember walking outside after visiting and this is the first thing that my mom and I saw......IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! I am so thankful for all that I have and that I KNOW that my family will be together FOREVER!

MY FIRST HALF MARATHON..........

I ran my first half marathon at the end of January and it was AWESOME!! I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Our goal was to finish under 2 hours......which when I told people that they acted like I was setting an impossible goal. The would say...."wow that would be cool but it is your first half!" So I really wanted to try and see if I could do it! Our time was 1:57!! Whoo Whoo.....we reached our goal and now we are ready for another one! Im not sure if I want to do a full......everybody says that after you do a half you will want to do a full......not in my case!! It was pretty tough and Im not going to lie..... I would have walked a couple of times if it weren't for my awesome partners.....we kept each others spirits up the whole time and Deb and I crossed the finish line together!!! I am addicted to running though, I just don't think I feel like running 26.2 miles!!!!

Thanks to my wonderful husband and mom.....it was so great to see people cheering me on as I got closer to the finish line....you guys are awesome!!!

My dad left the house asking if this was a wedding or a baby shower?? You know that when my mom is involved, everything looks perfect!! I thought everything turned out so nice!

I love the cute little balls and the banner said...."sweet baby girl" My mom did homeade cafe rio burritos and they were a hit!! YUUUUUMMMMM!!

My mom made these carmel apples for a "thank you" for coming! They turned out so cute. The girls got to help dip and drizzle the chocolate......YUMMY!

Jess had great family and friend support......my mom's house was packed! I think that we figured that their was 50+ people!!!

"THE GIRLS!" We have to get a picture whenever we can, when we are all together! It was so much fun to have Randi here to celebrate and help get everything ready! We are so lucky that we get to see her as much as we do......I would be so sad if we didn't see her as much as we get too!

All in all I think that it turned out PERFECT......now we jsut need to get that PERFECT little baby here!!!!

I don't even have to tell you if Meah liked it......OF COURSE SHE DID!! But after awhile she came in and her feet were frozen and she did start crying:(

All of the kids had such a good time.....Jamie and Kit's house will be the new hang out in the winter!!
